Ortofons klassiska SPU-pickup

SPU #1 är instegsmodellen i Ortofons klassiska SPU-serie av MC-pickuper.

Pickupen är tillverkad av en kombination av träfibrer och kompositharts med spolar och kablar av högren koppar, s.k High Purity Copper.

SPU #1 finns med två olika nålslipningar, sfärisk och elliptisk slipning. Den sfäriska slipningen är lite varmare och rundare i ljudåtergivningen medan den elliptiska är mer detaljerad och målar upp en större ljudbild.
